Cross Country Ski Notice

Dear Member,
Over the last few weeks we’ve received adequate snowfall that has allowed some to come out to Cross Country Ski on the golf course.  I have only one request from those that do come out to ski, please DO NOT SKI OVER THE GREENS.
Reasoning behind this is that when you ski over the greens on the same path numerous times the snow compacts and forms into hard pack.  That hard pack then through freeze and thaw cycles turns into ice and we have seen the affects that ice can have on the greens where the turf is much more delicate.
Skiing over the rough and fairways is ok, but when we start crossing greens and tees we can begin to see some damage when the spring comes around.  I greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Another reminder about our Grounds and Greens page, there is a link on the Briarwood website under the Grounds and Greens tab that will take you to a frequently update page by myself regarding what is taking place in our department over the winter.
Stay warm!
