Yesterday was a day filled with snow. Snowfall began early in the morning and continued throughout the day with the heaviest coming down from 11am to 1pm. Totals are just around 7" received here at the club. Yesterdays snow is a nice soft snow making shoveling and plowing around the clubhouse a bit easier. I just finished with a drive around the course to see how things are and all looks well. Looking at the forecast for the next 15 days it looks like the temperatures are going to stay on the low side. With the temperatures staying below freezing we will not be doing any snow removal on the greens. When we see that the temperatures will climb we will be out on the course removing some areas for water to run as well as cleaning off number 1 green. The snow creates a nice white blanket that helps protect during long stretches of cold, as long as there isn't ice trapped below the snow like last season. This season we've been forturnate so far where there has not been much ice accumulation. Included are a few pictures from out on the course this morning.
