Snow Melt and Removal

Hard to believe that two weeks ago the city experienced its 3rd worst snowfall in history and now it is to be 60 degrees.  A great deal of melting is taking place throughout the golf course creating for some puddling water.  This morning we've been out cleaning of some of the greens especially those that we had issues with last season.  Shaded areas are also a priority of our just trying to get any ice that has accumulated to melt away here while the temperatures are warm.  Tunnels have been dug into snow still remaining on the greens as well, this will help create areas that water can travel and get off the greens.  Tomorrow we will inspect things again, hopefully night time temps will stay above freezing so that more thaw can take place, tomorrow we will likely make sure that 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, and 18 are completely cleared off as well as the ladies tee on 4, gold tee on 7, and back tee on 14.
