Over the last few years I've notice a great deal of issues with the drainline crossing 3 fairway about 110 yards out from the green. This line acts as the over flow when the pond fills and needs to drain across the course to 10 pond. We've notice not much water getting through the pipe along with water coming up from the ground, this signifies a blocked pipe or a damaged tile. With further investigation we found both. Pictures are attached to show the culprits.
Tile in the trench, hard to see but a great deal of gravel and muck in the tile.
Same tile as above but pulled out of the hole giving a better picture of the inside of the tile.
Steel tube in the trench, notice the holes in the pipe.
Same tube outside of the trench. Look at all the holes in this pipe. This pipe has some years on it.
Sod stripped from the fairway getting prepared to dig the trench.
Antonio Vargas and Moe Sanchez working on the trench to remove the old pipe.
