Today was another gorgeous and productive day. I know tensions are probably high as we've strung together some great weather the last few weeks and the course has been closed. Out of every negative there is a positive. The great weather has allowed us to progress very rapidly and accomplish a lot. When the project was getting close and I began to schedule things out, I had anticipated being finished on August 22nd. If things continue we'll be wrapped up this Friday, August 19th, three days ahead of our plan. 3 days are huge in this type of project, 3 days ahead for germination and putting us at 2 weeks till Labor Day weekend! Right now is the prime time for seeding bentgrass and we are jumping right through that window.
Over the last few days we've been able to remove all the covers from the greens and get all tree stumps cleaned and sodded. Sodding around the greens began today as well as preparation for seed on a few of them. In fact 4 greens are completely ready to go for seeding while 2 others are very close. Ryan's crew was able to get prepped and sodded 5 greens and tomorrow are scheduled to try and get the rest prepped for Thursday. We're crossing our fingers and hoping the rain slated for tomorrow holds off. If so, we'll begin seeding number 2, 5, 6, 7, 11 and any more that we can accomplish. A great deal of seed prep is needed from verticutting to spreading starter fertilizers.
I've enjoyed watching and learning from this process. Lots of documentation from events and pictures have been taken. So, enough with the chat, lets see some photos!

| Photo of 2 grn after we removed the cover. To the right of the photo there is a red arrow. Here I'm pointing out the sod edge. |
 |
| Here is a very similar photo to the previous. Again there is a red arrow pointing to the sod edge. This green is now prepped and ready to have the intermediate cut sodded. |

| Photo of 5 grn prepped and ready for sod. Arrow pointing out the crisp edge. |
 |
| Here Antonio and Jose are working on removing the sod that was used to hold down the covers. Very labor intensive and timely job. |
 |
| Here again is the guys removing the cover on 6 grn. |
 |
| Jorge prepping 5 grn for seed. Jorge is using our verticut unit to slice grooves into the surface for seed to fall into. Following his operation we applied a few beginning fertilizers such as Humic Acid and Gypsum. |

| Again, Jorge prepping the 5 grn for seed. Notice the red arrow as well, the intermediate has been sodded. |
Tomorrow will be another big day. Course opens again for play to temporary pins. I encourage you to come out and enjoy the course and see what has taken place. We've tried our best to keep up with normal maintenance but have some things to get caught up on, so I apologize ahead of time.
