A New Year

We say goodbye to 2012 and hello to 2013. I am hoping that this season is a bit more comfortable than 2012 but only time will tell. The Grounds Crew was back to work today, continuing equipment maintenance as well as course accessories reconditioning. The week will be short due to the holiday but we plan on making great progress.
A few things to address:
1.) Cross country skiing has been taking place on the course. For those of you that come out please do not ski across the greens and tees, we've roped off greens which will hopefully put an end to crossing them but we ask you to police yourself on the tees. We will monitor course use and if it seems people aren't respecting the regulations we will not allow any skiing at all.
2.) Tree maintenance begins next week. This involves annual removal of hazardous and poor health trees as well as pruning. Over the last 4 years we've completed the front 9 as well as 10, 11, and 18 on the back with pruning. This year our hopes are to complete pruning on 12, 13, and 17.

Lastly my wife and I along with the new addition to our family, Kaylor wish everyone a Happy New Year and safe rest of the winter.
