A Skate?

The morning walk around the course was a little discouraging. Lots of ice is spread throughout the golf course after last weeks snow followed up by milder temps and rain. I can honestly say I'm nervous as we all know results from spring 2010, yet I am a bit more relaxed. Reasoning for the relaxed nature is we are now bentgrass not predominantly Poa and its later in the year. Temperatures are supposed to become more mild next week meaning most ice will only be there for a bit more than a week. One week isn't a killer, plus the turf was hardened off before it was encapsulated by ice. We will continue to monitor and take action if we feel its needed.
