COURSE OPENING

Hmmmmm, a little different March this year than last.  Last March came in like a lion for sure with temperatures climbing on March 6th which included a stretch of 9 days of 80+ degrees.  Not this year.  Walking the course this past Saturday still showed a significant amount of frost in the ground but also greens, tees, and fairways still covered in snow.  Definitely not conducive to opening.

I wish I could give a date that the course will open, but I can't.  Opening for play will be based on Mother Nature.  We need a stretch of warmer temperatures to help eliminate the current frost layer, not being seen in the 10 day forecast.  We will do what we can in the meantime to begin getting things ready so that when the weather does break we can take full advantage.

Our hopes will be that we can get things open as soon as possible.  Our focus will shift to getting practice facilities open when conditions are favorable, as things become more favorable we'll push for the greens.  Once the course is all clear from snow we will put the pins back in the temporary holes which you are more than welcome to play to.  Please though do not hit into or walk on the greens, as the ground thaw's foot and ball traffic can create damage evident for months.  Please be patient and we'll continue to keep you updated with conditions and developments as the spring inches in.
