Ahh, the weather outdoors is delightful! Almost feels as though it's summer, sun is shining and the mercury is up, thus resulting in some snow melt. We've hit a good little stretch of warmth here but not for long, tomorrow is to be slightly warmer with accumulating rain but then back to cold. The sudden shift in temperatures has me on the edge of my seat a bit. Reason being the snow melt along with rain then sudden temperature drops will mean more ice. Thankfully we are far enough in the year it shouldn't create too big of problem but will make a mess of things.
We are outside today getting some work done. As we always do for big melt events and with the forecasted rain the guys are out cleaning drains. This is just a proactive measure to be sure water can drain where it needs to.
Along with drain cleaning we are attacking a few trees that need removed. We had hoped to get to these earlier when the contracted tree crew was here but significant work was need to gain access. These removals are being done in house, trees are a size we can handle.
The Maple tree above has been struggling the last few years and the decision has been made to remove it. Sure you can see how it's leaning to the right in the picture, well that lean is getting worse as time goes on. For protection of people and the fairway it has to come down.
Hope you have the opportunity to get outside and breathe in a little fresh air! I'm ready for spring.
