GCSAA Convention and Tradeshow

The 2011 Golf Course Superintendents Covention has kicked off. This year we're in Orlando, Florida. So far the event has been outstanding. Lots of seminars are taking place throughout the week to inform us Superintendents about the future of the industry as well as what is happening now. Technology has made a big impact in what the industry has been able to do lately. Just wrapped up in a seminar where the discussion was solely on communication with the golfers/members and the untilization of such methods like this blog. They are finding that these blogs with new and detailed information about the golf course has help calm down the "rumor mill". I hope that this blog for Briarwood Country Club will develop into a great tool for our club with keeping everyone up to date with what is taking place on our course and future events. I greatly encourage all of you to utilize this blog and read the information. I hope it gives you all a better understanding of what the Grounds Department does as well as understanding our golf course.
