Winter continues to move on with very minimal moisture. Was very happy to get the rain last week with some thaw so that moisture could actually make it into the ground. Concerns are starting to develop about wind desiccation. Desiccation is the drying out of the plant. With the dry season and continued dry winter topped with these windy days I'm beginning to see some affects on mounds and open areas on greens. Could this affect us for spring? Possibly. We will continue to monitor but in all honesty there isn't a whole lot we can do. We will keep you posted as the winter goes on.
