For those that are skiers, it was a "powder day" today. Well, guess can't really say "powder" as the latest snow was very wet. It was for sure perfect for making a snowman and snowballs. The storm was the biggest snow accumulation we've had in a few years, in total we hover right around 7". I'll welcome this snow as its added moisture but also a little insulation before getting into the start of the season.
Plans have been altered as today we spent a majority of the time on snow detail. I don't anticipate us getting back outside here till next week as snow is deep throughout the course, this will halt our cleanup tasks. Over the last week we've put effort into clearing deadwood from the middle of buckthorn thickets, as soon as we can we'll be back out to continue. Included here are some pics of today's course adventure, Kaylor really enjoyed some deep snow drifts. Other photos are of our cleanup work to the right of 4 green, lots of dead wood in the buckthorn thicket.
