Dear Member,
Good Morning! Hope
this message finds everyone doing well.
I wanted to take a minute to touch on a quick topic regarding the Deerfield
Road renovation. The Club and Deerfield
worked together regarding what work and disruptions were going to be done to
our property during this project. A
large part of the project was removal of material to create room for the sidewalk
which was pushed in by 4 feet. To achieve
this; fencing and necessary plant material was removed.
Briarwood worked with the village regarding replacement and those
parts of the project are in motion.
Today, Advance Tree Care was on site to remove the remainder of plant material
between the Practice Tee and Deerfield Road.
I’ve received a couple calls regarding it so just wanted to get the
adequate information out there. The area
that was cleared will be newly landscaped.
Deerfield agreed to replace this area as it is a high focal point and
screening from site and noise is important.
The initial removals reduced our screen and noise buffer greatly. Now that the plant material is removed some
grading and berming will take place in the next few weeks. Once all grading work is complete a fencing
contractor will be in to replace fencing from Brierhill Rd to the driveway just
west of the main club entrance. When
weather becomes adequate for nurseries to begin digging plants the landscape
replacement will take place. It’s
currently too early for certain plants.
I’m including a copy of the replacement plan. It contains a variety of material from
evergreens, deciduous trees, shrubs, and perennial plants. When complete it will be a great enhancement aesthetically
to our Practice Area and continue to buffer out noise and block site. Our goal is to have all completed by middle
of April; weather permitting.
